A superb pair of antique clear cut crystal decanters with a crosshatch pattern, accompanied by their elegant matching turlupets featuring the same refined design. These high-quality pieces are enhanced by elegant sterling silver mounts. The mounts bear the French Minerva 1st standard hallmark as well as the hallmark of the Parisian silversmith Gaston Bardies, identifiable by the GB hallmark and the heraldic fleur-de-lis. This renowned silversmith worked at 13 rue des Fontaines in Paris between 1897 and 1914. The contrast between the brilliance of the cut crystal and the elegance of the sterling silver lends this set a timeless charm typical of French Belle Époque tableware. This pair of decanters makes a magnificent collector's item and decorative piece for a refined table or an antique display case. This antique set can be combined with our selection of tableware as well as our antique crystal and glassware available in our online gallery.
