A superb pair of polychrome earthenware ginger jars dating from the late 19th century (circa 1870-1900), richly decorated with exquisitely detailed exotic motifs.

These elegant covered vases feature a refined design of flowers, reeds, branches, birds, and insects, delicately hand-painted within large cartouches.

Commonly known as ginger jars, these pieces are inspired by Asian designs and reflect the European taste for the exotic at that time.

The lids are surmounted by Foo dogs, traditional symbols of protection, adding character and authenticity to the set.

Entirely handcrafted and decorated, these objects embody high-quality craftsmanship and make an ideal decorative pair for an elegant interior or an antique collection.
