Summary
Descendant of an important and ancient family of ceramics making Neapolitan main manufacturing family, called Mollica Ceramics, located in Capodimonte, from the late thirties.
Formed in the name of the tradition in the production presents the modern style of inspiration Novecentista while keeping alive the statuary of the nineteenth century typical of Capodimonte.
In 1938, he exhibited part of his work in the arts section of the Fiera di Milano.
The former Neapolitan artisant "Mollica" was founded by Giovanni Mollica, son of Pasquale already a potter at the "Real Fabbrica Ferdinandéa" and at the "Justinian" in 1842, in the local street of Saint Lucia.
Led by the sons Cyrus, Achille and Alexandre, the factory becomes in the late XIX th, one of the most important in southern Italy.
In the early twentieth and until the end of the thirties, the factory produced a porcelain production on the Capodimonte genus, decorations of polychrome flowers in the baroque concept.
