Charming Japanese tea set in Kutani style, made from fine porcelain known as “eggshell,” renowned for its lightness and great delicacy. Entirely hand-painted, it stands out for its refined decoration featuring traditional Japanese motifs, enhanced by a predominance of coral red, gold gilding, and delicate polychrome details.
This set consists of a teapot, commonly known as a Dobin, with a bamboo handle, lending authenticity and elegance to the ensemble. Each piece is a testament to remarkable craftsmanship, combining precision of line, balance of color, and decorative harmony.
The stylized rising sun mark visible under the pieces identifies this set as a Japanese “Nippon Tokusei” production dating from the first half of the 20th century, circa 1930.
