

Restoration-period vermeil (gold on silver) dusting spoon circa 1820.
This pretty dusting spoon dates from the Restoration period under the monarchy of Charles X in the early 19th century.
It bears the old man's hallmark used between 1819 and 1938.
The spoon has gadrooned ribs pierced with twigs and a chased handle with a spearhead escutcheon decorated with stylised foliage.
