Bohemian Crystal
It was in the eighteenth century that Bohemia was illustrated in the history of the crystal industry both by the creation of an artificial crystal, and by the quality of its glass workers. Many of the latter immigrated to Northwestern Europe at that time, and brought their technique and know-how. The Bohemian Crystal was in the late eighteenth century, supplanted by the English crystal, from which the current crystal formula is drawn.
