Luca Madrassi is a French sculptor of Italian origin, trained in Rome and then in Paris at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, where he studied with Pierre Jules Cavelier 1814/1894.
He worked with Albert Carrier Belleuse 1824/1887.
By 1879, Madrassi's allegorical subjects and imaginative compositional talent had earned him a reputation.
In 1896, he became a member of the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts and was granted French nationality.
