François Duquesnoy (1597-1643) known in France under the name of François Flamand born January 12, 1597 in Brussels and died July 18, 1643 in Livorno (Italy) at the time capital of Spanish Flanders.

François Duquesnoy, son of Gérôme Duquesnoy, the former author of manneke pis.

The fame of this Flemish sculptor has gone far beyond the borders of the Spanish Netherlands known as “Flanders”.
