Beautiful painting depicting Albert, Prince of Belgium, Duke of Saxony, Prince of Saxe-Coburg and Gota, heir to the crown and third King of the Belgians.

Sacred on December 23, 1909.

Born in Brussels on April 8, 1875 and died of a mountaineering accident on February 17, 1934.

Albert the First, in the hardships of the Great War, will offer the monarchy his letters of nobility and install Belgium at the fore on the stage of European diplomacy.

His courage and his commitment to the service of peace have rightly earned him the nickname "King Knight".

Oil on canvas in a beautiful solid wood frame with richly carved and probably lacquered gilding.
