Tapestry
The tapestry is at the base a French tradition mainly in Ile de France and in the Loire Valley in the Middle Ages.
The craftsmen producing the tapestries had sometimes during the history to move in particular in the north of France and Flanders.
François 1st will found in Fontainebleau, the first royal manufacture of tapestry then in the XVIIth century, Colbert will create that of Gobelins.
